8 ways to maintain work and life balance

8 ways to create a balance between work and life

Today I am writing this blog with the purpose of sharing with you some ways to balance work and life. As you know, everyone has to work to maintain life, but the overload of work not only puts us under stress but also reduces work efficiency, and affects our personal lives. So how to break the cycle of work - stress - work - stress and private life after work?
Here are a few rules that I personally apply to maintain a work-life balance:

Be Realistic

The first rule is to be realistic about your needs and goals. It's better to know that you can't take on a part-time job before discussing it with your boss, rather than halfway through it before you realize you can't continue.

Make a specific schedule for your workday

In order for a working day to achieve the best results, you should set up a schedule for your working day. You plan specifically for 8 hours of work, allocating the estimated time for each job or project, especially large projects. From there, you have a list of things to do in the most sensible way.

Do not panic

Even if you feel scared about something, don't panic and handle things "in the end". Slowly think through it and especially be calm, step by step find the clue of the problem to solve. If possible, you can find someone you trust to have the best solutions to the problem you're having, at least for someone to share with you.

Give yourself moments of relaxation

After spending all your time and energy on big projects, instead of continuing to rush right into other big projects - you should take time to relax. Taking a short break to rest will actually help you embark on new tasks more effectively. Get off the desk, get yourself a cup of tea or coffee, and completely free your mind.

Build good relationships

Don't turn yourself into an "all-purpose machine", this will make you soon feel overwhelmed. Share your work with your relatives or colleagues. To do so, you need to foster good relationships, whether at work or in the family. Remember that when you feel overwhelmed, deal with it in a positive way, and don't get angry at someone else because this will only cause you to lose helpful resources.

Always be positive

If you encounter failure at work, your mood, and reaction how? If you do not know how to control your emotions, chances are you will fall short of "performance" quickly. Then, instead of thinking about the "bitter" of local failure, you should put it on a longer time axis to see that it is only a short-term problem, while your future is still wide open in the foreground. Thus, you will feel comfortable and confident back after this fall. Failure is the mother of success anyway. Be always optimistic. Sometimes you need tripping to grow up.

Exercise improves health

Stressful work, sitting at work for 8 to 12 hours a day, will make your body and spirit tired and stressed. The best medicine for this condition is to bring your butt up to a gym, where we can practice and reduce stress effectively. However, pay attention to the voice of the body, choose the exercises that suit you to avoid overloading or injury. If you do not like the gym, you can absolutely choose other subjects that are right for you, such as yoga, swimming, running, walking, etc. The important thing here is to practice science regularly. Our body and spirit are healthier.

Sleep, sleep and sleep on time

This may sound childish, but actually, the habit of "buying time" before going to bed (reading a few pages, watching a movie) will make you fall asleep and feel tired the next morning. An unconscious body will make you work more slowly, thus spending more time on the same job. Setting a reasonable time frame for your personal activities is how you can both enjoy your evening well and get ready for the next working day. The best time to go to bed is before 11 pm.

Above are some of the principles I have consulted from many sources, combined with my own practical experiences. If you have other ways, please share it with me through the comment section of this blog! Thank you.
